Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Chibbles is made by Francis Derit, an individual developer in the Philippines. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email chibbles.apps@gmail.com.
In short: we use what you give Chibbles only to crack your tasks into steps and run your account. No ads, no selling your data, no tracking across other apps.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). With Google sign-in, your Google ID, name, email and profile picture.
- Your content: text you paste, photos you scan and voice notes you record, plus the tasks and steps made from them. We keep the text, the text read from a photo, or the transcript, but not the photo or recording itself.
- Activity: how many tasks you crack each day (for plan limits), your completed steps, badges and preferences.
- Purchases: your Cracker Pro status. Google Play handles payment; we never see your card details.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and server logs with your account ID, IP address and device details. A failed sign-in can log the email that was entered.
The app asks for camera, microphone and notification access only when you use Scan, voice notes or the optional daily reminder.
How we use it
To crack your content into steps, keep your account and tasks in sync, apply plan limits, manage your subscription, show your Insights and badges, fix bugs and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help run Chibbles, and only what they need:
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Reads your text, photos and transcripts to create steps. It does not train on this data. |
| Deepgram | Turns your voice notes into text |
| Supabase and Render | Hosting for our database (Japan) and server (Singapore) |
| Google and RevenueCat | Sign-in, and Cracker Pro billing |
| Sentry | Crash reports |
| Expo and Hugging Face | App updates, and the Crack Offline download |
We may also share information if the law requires it.
On your phone
A copy of your tasks stays on your phone so Chibbles works offline. Crack Offline (Cracker Pro) runs entirely on your phone, and Listen uses your phone’s own text-to-speech. Signing out clears this data.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account anytime in the app (Settings → Profile → Delete Account) or by email. This permanently removes your profile, tasks and history. Billing records, crash reports and server logs may stay for a limited time.
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Cracker Pro. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, and sign-in tokens are kept in your phone’s secure storage. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data. Email us from your account’s address and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also contact the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
Children
Chibbles isn’t meant for children under 13. If a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes.
